One thing it can't do live is change speed. Your words leave at the pace you say them, so the slowness has to come from you.

You supply the slow

Speak at about three quarters of your usual pace and drag the vowels. That, plus the pitch drop, is what sells a slowed track.
Stay flat and unbothered. Energy and sharp emphasis sound like a normal person with a low voice.
Mumble a little and sit close to the mic. The compressor lifts the quiet parts for you.
Trail off at the ends of lines and let three seconds of reverb finish them.

It suits late-night and lo-fi streams, sad or dreamy voiceovers over an edit, and spoken intros before a slowed song. In a group call it is a good bit for a minute.
