Analog horror and creepy broadcasts

The emergency-broadcast sound of analog horror is thin and crunchy rather than deep. The radio and telephone presets get closer to that than these three. Analog horror narration is usually scripted, so it's often easier to type it: the Character Voice Generator reads text in a character voice with the demon, monster or ghost effect on top.

Scary voice changer FAQ

Why does the demon voice keep ringing after I stop?

The reverb rings on for 2.5 seconds. It's part of the effect; pause between lines so it doesn't pile up.

Is there a preset for a specific horror game or film character?

Yes. Ghostface, Chucky, Pennywise and Freddy Fazbear each have a page of their own, tuned to that character. The three presets here are general archetypes.

Can I make a scary voice from text?

Yes. Type the line in the Character Voice Generator, pick a voice and add the demon, monster or ghost effect, then download it as a WAV file. For your live voice, use the presets on this page.
