VTuber model price ranges

These are the ranges the calculator uses, compiled in October 2026 from VIVERSE's and Animarts' 2026 pricing guides, a third-party review of Live3D's pricing, and kudos.tv's software guides. Art and rigging are priced together.

ProblemFix
My artist's quote is outside the rangeRanges come from published guides, not every artist. Experience, detail, number of toggles and turnaround all move the price.
The 3D custom range has no topOur sources list one studio's starting price for a custom 3D model, so the estimate shows “from” that price only.
Extras aren't added to the totalWe don't have sourced prices for them, so we list them instead of guessing. Ask for them in your quote.

Start for free first

You don't need a commissioned model to start streaming. A PNGTuber needs only two pictures that swap when you talk, and a free VRoid Studio avatar can copy your face through your webcam. Facecam has free online tools for both, so you can find your character before paying an artist.

Where to commission or buy a model

  • Commission marketplaces such as VGen and Skeb list artists and riggers with their prices and open slots.
  • BOOTH and nizima (Live2D's own marketplace) sell ready-made models, often cheaper than a commission and sometimes customizable.
  • Many artists take commissions directly through their X or portfolio pages; ask to see rigged examples in motion.
  • Check the licence before you pay: whether you may stream and monetize with the model, and whether you can change it later.

What changes the price

  • Detail of the art: full body, layered hair and clothing cost more to draw and rig.
  • Movement: more angles, physics and a wider head turn take more rigging time.
  • Expressions and toggles: each outfit, prop or face is extra work.
  • Commercial use: some artists charge more for a licence to monetize.
  • Turnaround: rush delivery usually costs extra.
