Soundboard for Zoom, Google Meet and Teams

Facecam's soundboard plays clips into meetings you join in Chrome: the Zoom Web App, Google Meet and Teams on the web.

Soundboard: play sounds into your mic

Your browser will ask for microphone access when you click.

Set it up in Zoom, Meet and Teams

  1. 01

    Join in the browser

    Zoom: app.zoom.us/wc → Join a meeting. Teams: teams.microsoft.com. Meet: your meet.google.com link.

  2. 02

    Select the Facecam mic

Zoom: arrow next to Mute → Audio settings. Meet: More options → Settings → Audio. Teams: Settings and more → Settings → Devices. Choose “Facecam Virtual Mic” in each.

  3. 03

    Let clips through

Meet: turn off Noise cancellation. Zoom: set the Audio Profile to browser built-in noise suppression. These filters are designed to remove exactly the sounds a soundboard plays.

  4. 04

    Play at the right moment

Keep clips short. A two-second sting lands; a twenty-second song talks over everyone.

Tested by Facecam team. Facecam extension 2.1.0 (test build) in Chromium 153.0.8010.12 on macOS 26.5.1 (Apple silicon), with Chromium's built-in test camera and microphone, not signed in to any app. We opened the Zoom Web App's join page, not a meeting and checked from inside that page that its device list listed Facecam Virtual Mic and got sound from it. We didn't sign in or join a call there, so Zoom's own menus in the steps come from Zoom's help pages (see Sources).

More about Zoom, Meet and Teams

Meeting etiquette

  • Ask the host first in work or school meetings.
  • Mute the soundboard during presentations.
  • Zoom and Teams may record meetings; your clips will be in the recording.

Which app filters hardest

All three are tuned for speech. Meet's noise cancellation and Zoom's background noise removal are the most likely to remove music and effects. Teams on the web doesn't say whether you can turn its noise filter off, so test there before relying on it.

Questions

Can others tell it's a soundboard?

They hear it as part of your mic audio, so it's clear it's coming from you.
