Free soundboard for Twitch

A free soundboard for Twitch streams: three ways to get your sounds on stream, with or without OBS.

Soundboard: play sounds into your mic

Your browser will ask for microphone access when you click.

Set it up in Twitch

  1. 01

Route 1: a studio in Chrome

Open a browser studio that streams to Twitch, such as StreamYard, connect your Twitch channel, and set its microphone to “Facecam Virtual Mic”. Voice and sounds go out together.

  2. 02

Route 2: a Stream Together call

Join the Stream Together session on twitch.tv in Chrome. Open Settings → Microphone and pick “Facecam Virtual Mic”. On the same tab, turn off Noise Suppression and Echo Cancellation so effects aren't filtered.

  3. 03

    Route 3: inside OBS

If you stream solo from OBS, skip the mic entirely: add the soundboard as a Browser source. The streaming soundboard page has the full steps.

  4. 04

Whichever route: load the board first

For routes 1 and 2, open the Facecam soundboard and click Use these sounds in calls before you open the studio or the call.

Tested by Facecam team. Facecam extension 2.1.0 (test build) in Chromium 153.0.8010.12 on macOS 26.5.1 (Apple silicon), with Chromium's built-in test camera and microphone, not signed in to any app. We opened twitch.tv, not a signed-in Stream Together session and checked from inside that page that its device list listed Facecam Virtual Mic and got sound from it. We didn't sign in or join a call there, so Twitch's own menus in the steps come from Twitch's help pages (see Sources).

If it doesn't work

ProblemFix
Twitch Studio doesn't list the Facecam micIt never will: Twitch Studio is a desktop app. Use route 1 or route 3.
Stream Together partners hear clipped soundsNoise Suppression is still on in Settings → Microphone on twitch.tv.
Sounds are in the call but not on my streamThe call reaches your stream through Stream Together's browser source links in OBS. Check they're added and that call audio is set to Control via Streaming Software.

More about Twitch

Twitch and music

Twitch's music guidelines allow music you own or are licensed to share. Recorded tracks you don't own can get VODs muted and clips removed, and a DMCA notice can go further. Meme sounds are somebody's work too. The starter sounds on the board are made by Facecam, so those are safe to play.

Questions

Is this the same as channel point sound alerts?

No. Those are set off by viewers. A soundboard is sounds you play yourself, when you choose.

Can my mods play sounds?

Not with Facecam. The sounds come from your own computer.

Does Stream Together work in Chrome?

Yes. Twitch lists a web browser such as Google Chrome for the call, with camera and microphone chosen in its Settings.

Do I need Nitro, Turbo or a subscription?

No. The soundboard is free and has no account.
