The 14 voices are AI-made originals with names of our own, and the effects turn each one into a robot, a villain, an alien and more. For famous and cartoon voices, use the AI Voice Generator. For your own voice, use Voice Clone.

Privacy

Your text is sent to our voice partner (fal.ai) to make the speech, and the audio comes straight back. Pitch and effects are added on your device.

Character Voice Generator FAQ

Is the character voice generator free?

Free to try: 3 lines a day of up to 200 characters, with no account. Beyond that, it comes with every paid plan: ≈ 184,000 characters of speech a month on Premium. If a line fails, it doesn't count. Pitch, effects and the download are free.

Do I need to download anything?

No. Nothing to download, and older computers work fine too.

Can it do the voice of a famous character?

Not with these 14 voices: they're original characters. For famous and cartoon voices, use the AI Voice Generator.

Can I use it as text to speech in Discord?

It doesn't read Discord chat. Generate a line, download the WAV, and play it through the Facecam Soundboard into discord.com in Chrome.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. Older phones work fine too.

Which languages does it speak?

English, with American and British voices.

Can I make a robot or scary voice from text?

Yes. Pick a voice, then the Robot effect for a robot voice, or Demon, Monster or Ghost for a horror voice, and generate. The same effects are free on your live voice in the Real-Time Voice Changer.
