Speak as if you weigh nothing

  • Use a light, half-breathed voice and keep the volume low. Heavy chest sound drags the fairy back to human size.
  • Let phrases float upward and leave them unfinished, so the 1.8-second tail can close them for you.
  • Flit between thoughts. Quick changes of subject and small gasps of delight fit better than long explanations.
  • Back away from the mic for sibilants. With treble up 4 dB, a close S turns into a spike.

Fairy, elf or angel

The Elf voice is a small helper with its feet on the ground: bright and quick, without the glitter. The Angel voice is about height of a different kind, calm and wide, with a far larger space around it. The fairy is the smallest and most restless of the three, and its sparkle is a short reverb, not a hall. For a fairy the size of a firefly, use the Tone +10 clip. In fast group conversation, the clip with the reverb off keeps the tiny voice and drops the tail so you don't blur into other speakers.

Free fairy voice changer FAQ

Can I play a fairy in a Discord tabletop session?

Yes, if you join from discord.com in Chrome and pick Facecam Virtual Mic as your input. Switch off Discord's noise suppression, or it will strip the reverb sparkle.

Why do I sound like a chipmunk and not a fairy?

You are probably speaking loudly and fast. Go softer and slower; if it's still squeaky, bring Pitch down a couple of steps.

Is the fairy voice free to use in my own videos?

Yes. It costs nothing, and the audio you make with your own voice is yours to post.
