Each step is one semitone, the distance between neighbouring keys on a piano. The Pitch slider moves in half steps, up to two octaves either way.

More about this voice

Pitch alone, or pitch with tone kept

This voice lets the tone ride up with the pitch, which is the classic sped-up sound. If you'd rather sound like a different person than a faster tape, use a voice that sets Tone separately: Girl raises pitch by 5 but tone by only 2.5, which keeps the voice full. To go down instead of up, the Deep voice does the same job in the other direction.
