More about this voice

From cartoon to goblin

The Cartoon preset is squeaky because both its note and its tone go up by six. Keep the nasal boost at 1.6 kHz but bring the tone back to +1, and the voice stops sounding small and sweet and starts sounding sly. Distortion at 0.35 adds the scratch of a creature that's never had a drink of water.

Imp or brute

  • Cheeky imp: distortion off. Mischievous rather than mean, good for a familiar or a sidekick.
  • Bigger goblin: Pitch +1. Lower and meaner, for a goblin boss or a bridge troll's cousin.
  • Keep the same goblin all session: write down the sliders, or use the settings table on this page.
