More about this voice

Rotten, not huge

A monster is big and powerful. A zombie is something human that's gone wrong. So the zombie voice is only five steps down, keeps a human size (Tone -4 instead of -6), and replaces part of the voice with breath. The result is a dry, broken rasp. A slow chorus wobble makes it unsteady, as if it can't hold a note.

Act it

  • Drag out vowels and drop consonants. 'Braaains' works because it's mostly vowel.
  • Breathe in audibly before lines; the whisper turns breath into rasp.
  • Keep the mic at the same distance. Moving in and out makes the groan pump.

Free zombie voice changer FAQ

Does it work in games?

Why does the tool show the Monster preset?

The zombie is built from it, with Pitch, Tone, Whisper and a wobble changed. Reset brings back the plain Monster preset.
