Face swap on Discord

Facecam's live face swap works in Discord video when you open discord.com in Chrome and choose the Facecam Virtual Camera.

Live Face Swap: be anyone on your calls
Add to Chrome

Set it up in Discord

  1. Pick a face

Open the Facecam extension, choose a built-in face or upload any photo, and check the preview.

  2. Set the camera in Discord

On discord.com, User Settings → Voice & Video → Camera, choose “Facecam Virtual Camera”. The preview there shows the swap once it's ready: 20 to 30 seconds the first time, sometimes up to a minute.

  3. Turn on video in the call

Join a voice channel or DM call and turn on your camera.

More about Discord

Bots vs live swap

Discord face swap bots take an image you post and return an edited image. Facecam changes your live video during a call. If you want a swapped picture to post, a bot or a photo tool is the better fit.

Which faces you can use

Pick one of the built-in characters, make one with the Character Generator, or upload any face from a photo in the extension. You can switch faces from the popup during a call.

Questions

Does it work for Go Live screen sharing?

Go Live shares your screen, not your camera. Use the camera to show the swap.

Do others need Facecam?

No. They see the swap in any Discord app.
