The cartoon preset is a setting of Facecam's voice changer that makes your voice higher and smaller and adds a nasal honk, for a squeaky animated-character voice.

More about this voice

Where the nasal honk comes from

This preset gets its character from one narrow boost in the middle of your voice. That's where talking through your nose lives, so boosting just that part gives the pinched, honking quality of many animated voices without making the whole voice harsh.

Pitch and Tone both go up by 6, so the voice sounds small and squeezed rather than natural. The preset also cuts the chest sound, adds some sparkle on top, and keeps every line loud and punchy.

Build a character, not an impression

This is a generic cartoon archetype. Facecam doesn't copy named cartoon characters, and the preset won't make you sound like one. What sells it is delivery:

  • Exaggerate: bigger reactions, longer vowels, sudden stops.
  • Pick a catchphrase or a laugh and reuse it.
  • Keep lines short. The nasal honk gets tiring over long speeches.

Cartoon voice generator FAQ

Can it do the voice of a specific cartoon character?

No. It is one original cartoon-style voice. Facecam doesn't imitate characters you'd recognise.

Can I make a cartoon voice from text instead of my mic?

The Character Voice Generator reads typed text in original voices and can add effects such as Chipmunk. This cartoon preset is for your own voice, live or on a recording.

Why does it sound harsh on my headset?

Small headset mics already sound a bit nasal. Back off the mic a little, or use a desk mic.
