Chipmunk voice changer
The chipmunk preset is a setting of Facecam's voice changer that makes your voice very high (Pitch +10) and lets the whole sound rise with it, for the squeaky, sped-up cartoon effect.

More about this voice
The one preset that sounds sped up on purpose
Most of Facecam's high and low presets adjust the Tone setting separately so the voice stays natural. The chipmunk preset doesn't, so the whole voice moves up together, the way a tape sounds when it plays too fast. That's the helium sound.
It also cuts the bass, which would sound odd under such a high voice.
Tips
- Talk a bit faster than normal; it sells the sped-up feel.
- Don't blast P and B sounds right into the mic. At +10 they turn into sharp clicks.
Chipmunk voice changer FAQ
Is it the same as the baby voice?
No. Baby is a bit lower (+9) and keeps the voice smooth, so it sounds small rather than sped up.
Does it sound like the cartoon chipmunks?
It's the same general effect, not a copy of any character.
Can I make a chipmunk voice from typed text?
Yes. The Character Voice Generator has the same Chipmunk effect: type the line, pick a voice, add Chipmunk and download the file.
