Speak like something that learned speech by copying

  • Keep the delivery level and patient, with equal weight on every word. It should sound assembled, not felt.
  • The effect layers voices but can't imitate anyone. To suggest a borrowed voice, change your own accent or age for one phrase, then return to the flat tone.
  • Wait for the 2-second reverb to finish before starting the next sentence.
  • Promises, offers and calm instructions suit it. Shouting flattens the chorus and loses the layered sound.

The three Prototype clips

  • As it loads: the full composite voice. Use it for monologues and for the character's reveal.
  • Pitch +2 and Tone +3: the machine borrowing a smaller voice. Switch to it for a line spoken as someone else, then go back.
  • Chorus off: one voice instead of several stitched together. It is the clearest of the three, which helps when listeners need to follow a long explanation.

Moving between the first two mid-scene sells the character: the low composite voice makes an offer, the smaller one answers in someone else's manner, and the low one returns. Only Pitch and Tone differ, so two sliders do the whole switch.

Free Prototype voice changer FAQ

Is this the Prototype's voice from Poppy Playtime?

It's a sound-alike built from pitch and effects on your voice. It isn't audio from the game and it isn't an official voice.

Can it copy another character's voice like he does?

No. The effects make one layered machine voice. Any imitation is your own acting; the higher variation helps suggest a different speaker.

Why does it sound like two people?

That's the chorus at 50%: a slightly detuned copy of you that drifts slowly against the original.

Does it work in Discord?

On discord.com in Chrome, yes. Switch off Discord's noise suppression there, or the 2-second reverb gets cut short.
