A low voice that still sounds awake

Hit consonants harder than usual. Lowering the note dulls them, and crisp t's and k's keep the words readable.
Don't drop your own voice as well. Stay in your normal register, even slightly bright, and leave the lowering to the slider.
At Pitch -8, keep sentences short. That far down, vowels get long and heavy and a long sentence turns into a mumble.
Smile a little while you talk. A brighter mouth shape balances the darkness the shift adds.

Three depths to choose from

Pitch -5, the main clip: an obviously lower voice for calm narration or a serious character.
Pitch -8: well below a normal speaking voice. Good for a joke or one dramatic line, tiring across a whole call.
Pitch -2: just a shade lower. Nobody hears an effect; you simply sound a bit more relaxed than usual.

What's the difference between low pitch and the deep voice?

Low pitch moves the note only, so you stay yourself. The deep voice also reshapes the size and weight of the voice, which sounds like a different person.

Can I talk in a lower voice on Teams?

On Teams in a Chrome tab, yes: press Use this voice in calls, then choose Facecam Virtual Mic in the device settings. The installed Teams app won't list it.

My voice is already low. Is -5 too much?

It can be, since the page is tuned for an average adult voice. Start from the Pitch -2 clip and go down until words begin to blur, then come back up one step.
