More about this voice

Small body, rough throat

PartSettingWhat you hear
Creature sizeTone +6Something knee-high, with a short throat
LiftPitch +3Slightly above you, still low enough to growl
RaspDistortion 0.4, 55% mixed inGravel on every syllable, with the words audible underneath
BiteMidrange +4 dB around 1.5 kHzA snarly, forward middle

Fewer words, more teeth

  • Talk in fragments. Two or three words per line, with the small connecting words dropped, sounds right for an alien still learning the language.
  • Growl between phrases from low in your throat. The distortion turns even a quiet growl into a proper snarl.
  • The alien gibberish is not in the effect. Invent your own bursts of nonsense syllables and bark them fast.
  • Stay close to the mic and keep your voice down, so the rasp comes from the slider instead of your vocal cords.

Pet, experiment or feral

The three clips are three moods. The main one, with distortion at 0.4, is the mischievous default and suits most lines. The Distortion 0.15 clip is the pet rather than the experiment: nearly clean, good for affectionate or sad moments and for anything longer than a sentence. The third drops Pitch to 0, sets Tone to +5 and pushes distortion to 0.55, which is lower and more feral. Save it for snarls, cackles and chaos, since speech gets rough at that drive.

Free Stitch voice changer FAQ

Is this Stitch's real voice from the films?

No. It's a look-alike for the ears: your voice made smaller and raspier with effects. No film audio is involved and it isn't a licensed product.

Can I use the Stitch voice on my phone?

Not live; the voice changer needs Chrome on a computer. You can still make clips on a computer with the Online Voice Changer and send the file to your phone.

How do I make it cuter?

Turn Distortion down toward 0.15 and nudge Pitch up a little. Less rasp reads as friendlier straight away.
