More about this voice

Big, soft and a little muffled

PartSettingWhat you hear
DepthPitch -3A few notes under you: low, but nowhere near a monster
BulkTone -4A wide, heavy body behind the voice
BellyBass +4 dB below 200 HzWeight on every vowel
ThicknessMidrange +3 dB around 500 HzA round, slightly hollow middle
BlurTreble cut above 4.5 kHzSoft consonants, as if the mouth never fully closes

The slowness is yours to add

  • The effect lowers you but leaves your speed alone. Speak at about two thirds of your usual pace and the character appears.
  • Wait a beat too long before answering, as though the thought is still on its way.
  • Keep your jaw loose and your mouth half open. Lazy consonants fit the treble cut.
  • Suits total confidence about something wrong, simple questions asked late, and happy one-word replies.

Where a starfish voice fits

It works best as a second character. On a stream, switch to it for reactions and chat replies, then go back to your own voice. In a sketch with a friend, pair it with the SpongeBob-style voice: one high and fast, one low and slow, and the contrast carries the joke. It is a poor choice for quick team callouts in a game, because the pauses that make it funny also make it late. For a bigger, slower head, use the Tone -6 clip. If people say you sound muffled, the clip with the treble cut switched off keeps the same low voice and clears the words.

Free Patrick Star voice changer FAQ

Does it work in Roblox voice chat?

Not live. Roblox is a desktop and mobile app, and the changed voice only appears in sites that run in a Chrome tab. For a Roblox video, record your lines in the Online Voice Changer and edit them in.

Is this Patrick's official voice?

No. It's an imitation made by lowering and thickening your own voice, with no clips from the cartoon and no licence behind it.

My voice is already deep. What should I change?

Raise Pitch a step or two so the words stay clear, and keep Tone at -4 for the size.
