Where the funny comes from

The speech itself is a normal, clear voice. The joke is the effect on top and the timing of the line. You can try every effect on the same line for free; only new text, a new voice or a new speed makes a new line.

12 effects are on offer; these work best for comedy.

Write lines that land

Keep it short. One or two sentences beat a paragraph; text to speech has no comic timing of its own.
Use punctuation for timing: a full stop is a beat, a comma is half a beat, and an ellipsis is a longer pause.
Contrast works: a serious announcement in the chipmunk effect, or a tiny complaint through the megaphone.
Spell names the way they sound if the voice says them wrong.

Use it on stream or in Discord

Download the WAV file and add it to the Facecam Soundboard. It plays clips of up to 30 seconds into your mic on sites in Chrome, including discord.com. It doesn't read your chat aloud: you choose and generate each line.

What it won't do

The voices are originals. For celebrity and cartoon voices, use the AI Voice Generator. Lines with slurs, sexual content, threats or someone's personal information are refused before anything is charged. It speaks English only.
