The two numbers behind a reverb

Length sets how big the space seems. Mix sets how far from the mic you seem to stand. Move one at a time and you'll hear which is which.

Talking into a two-second tail

Finish a sentence and stop. The tail closes the line for you, and words spoken over it blur.
Land t, k and s a touch harder than in normal talk. Reverb softens consonants, and consonants carry the meaning.
Move a little closer to the mic. More direct voice against the same room keeps you clear.
Held vowels and sung notes suit it better than quick chatter, because a long sound gives the room something to carry.

Small room, hall or very long hall

Reverb 0.5 s at 25%: a small room. Barely an effect, more a warmer mic. Fine for a whole call or a podcast-style recording.
Reverb 2 s at 35%, the main clip: a hall. Good for stream intros, singing and reading aloud.
Reverb 6 s at 50%: a very long hall. Each phrase hangs for six seconds, so keep it for single lines and dramatic moments.

What is the difference between reverb and echo?

Echo is your words coming back as separate repeats. Reverb is thousands of tiny reflections blended into one smooth wash, which is all this voice adds.

Does the reverb come through on Discord?

On discord.com in Chrome, yes: press Use this voice in calls here and pick Facecam Virtual Mic as the input device. Switch Discord's noise suppression off, because it treats a reverb tail as background noise and trims it.
