Pitch and Tone are untouched. It began as the Robot preset with everything except a flanger stripped away, so what remains is your voice with a moving, hollow colour.

Feed it sound to sweep through

  • Keep talking. A sweep takes five seconds, so a single short word catches one frozen slice of it.
  • Use s, sh and breathy sounds. The whoosh is most obvious on hiss, less on pure vowels.
  • Long, level sentences work best: a countdown, a transmission, a spaced-out monologue.
  • A fairly even volume helps, since loud peaks distract from the slow movement.

Flanger, chorus or robot

Chorus uses a longer delay, so the copy is heard as a second person and the result is thick and warm. A flanger's delay is too short for that; you hear one voice with a metallic comb moving through it. The robot voice removes your melody altogether, which a flanger never does. Here, the 2 sweeps a second clip turns the slow jet into a quick, wobbling flange, close to a sci-fi communicator. The Feedback 0.4 clip softens the sweep for long stretches of talking.

Free flanger voice changer FAQ

What does a flanger do to a voice?

It adds a hollow, swirling tone that rises and falls on its own while your words and pitch stay the same. People describe it as a jet passing overhead or talking through a spinning tube.

Can I stream with the flanger voice on Kick or YouTube?

Yes, when you broadcast from their browser studios in Chrome, where Facecam Virtual Mic can be chosen as the audio input.

Does the flanger change my pitch?

No. The note you speak on stays put. What moves is a set of notches in the tone, and that movement can sound like a rising and falling pitch laid over you.
