MetalFlanger 0.15 times a second, 45% mixA slow hollow sweep, like talking into a pipe

Talk like a machine with one objective

  • Flatten your melody completely. The buzz stamps one note on everything, and expressive speech only blurs against it.
  • Over-pronounce consonants and separate the words slightly. At 60% robot mix, consonants are what people understand you by.
  • Make statements short and factual: targets, results, comparisons. He's a rival who measures himself against the original.
  • Say one line, then stop. A cold machine that talks a lot stops being cold.

Metal Sonic, robot or Sonic.exe?

The plain robot voice is the friendlier neighbour, easier on the ear and closer to a helpful machine. Metal Sonic runs the buzz at 60% and adds a crusher and a flanger, so it is colder and more metallic. Sonic.exe isn't a robot at all; it is a low demon voice with echo. Two variations sit beside the main clip: the buzz moved to 200 Hz, thinner and more electronic, good for a smaller or faster machine; and distortion 0.5 at 60%, the machine pushed past its limit, for a boss phase.

Free Metal Sonic voice changer FAQ

Is this Metal Sonic's actual voice?

No. It's a sound-alike made from a robot buzz, a crusher and a flanger on your voice; no audio from the Sonic games is used.

Why can't people make out my words?

The robot mix is high by design. Lower Robot below 60%, or speak slower with crisp consonants.

Can I record lines for a fan dub or sprite animation?

Yes. The Online Voice Changer applies the same settings to an uploaded or recorded file and gives you a download.

Does it work in a Discord call?

From discord.com in Chrome, yes: choose Facecam Virtual Mic as your input device. The Discord desktop app doesn't list it.
