Proclaim

  • Speak as if to a battlefield: loud, slow, every sentence a declaration. Oaths, battle orders and litanies are the right material.
  • Stress the first word of each sentence and hold the final one.
  • Breathe in before the line, not during it. At Pitch -8 a mid-sentence breath becomes a rumble.
  • Stand a forearm's length from the mic so a loud delivery doesn't clip before the effect gets it.

Space Marine, Master Chief or giant?

Master Chief is a man in a helmet: four steps down, quiet, clean. The Space Marine is twice that drop with distortion and a bass lift, so he's bigger and louder than any person. The giant voice is about size alone, without the speaker. Of the two variations, the first narrows the band to 350–3200 Hz, which puts the voice behind the helmet's speaker grille and suits tabletop sessions where character matters more than fidelity. The other, Pitch -12 with a 2-second reverb at 25%, is a walking war machine; keep that for single lines.

Free Space Marine voice changer FAQ

Is this an official Warhammer 40,000 voice?

No. It's a sound-alike made from pitch and effects on your own voice, and it uses no audio from the games or animations.

Can I use it for a tabletop game over Discord?

Yes: join from discord.com in Chrome, press Use this voice in calls on this page, and pick Facecam Virtual Mic as the input.

How do I get a Dreadnought-style voice?

Use the second variation: Pitch -12 and a 2-second reverb at 25%. Speak in very short lines.

I already have a low voice and it turns to mud. What helps?

Raise Pitch a few steps from -8 and keep Tone at -5; the size stays and the words come back.
