More about this voice

The human part and the machine part

PartSettingWhat you hear
HumanPitch -3, Tone -1A natural low voice with no radio filtering
ImplantRobot 60 Hz, 30% mixA hum like mains electricity under each word
CircuitryFlanger 0.15 times a second, 30% mixA slight moving metal tint
BalanceBass +2 dB below 180 Hz, treble -1 dB above 4 kHzA touch warmer and softer than your own voice

Let the person show through

  • Talk normally, with feeling. The contrast between a human delivery and the hum is the whole effect.
  • Add one mechanical habit: an exact number, a clipped technical term, a pause before a name.
  • Hold a long vowel now and then. The 60 Hz flutter is easiest to hear on a sustained sound.
  • Keep your own volume steady; nothing in this voice evens it out for you.

A machine voice you can keep on all session

Because it stays easy to understand, this is the one robotic voice that lasts a whole evening: a cyberpunk tabletop character, a sci-fi VTuber persona, a long roleplay scene. For a character whose implant should barely show, use the second clip with the buzz at 12%. For one who is mostly hardware, the third raises the buzz to 60% and adds a 10-bit crusher at 40%. Moving between them over a story shows the character gaining or losing humanity.

Free cyborg voice changer FAQ

How is the cyborg different from the robot voice?

The robot voice puts the machine in front. The cyborg keeps your own voice in front and sets a 30% buzz underneath, so people still hear you.

Can I use it on Discord for roleplay?

Yes, through discord.com in Chrome. Press Use this voice in calls, then pick Facecam Virtual Mic in Voice & Video settings.

Can I make it more or less robotic mid-call?

Yes. Move the Robot slider while you talk: 12% is barely audible and 60% is mostly machine.
