Perform the mood swings

  • Swing between loud and soft inside one sentence: start as a booming host, drop to a mutter, jump back. The compressor keeps both audible.
  • Stretch vowels on names and greetings. The 6-a-second wobble only shows on long sounds.
  • The effect won't stutter for you. Repeat the first syllable of a word two or three times yourself, fast, for the skipping-record feel.
  • Giggle between lines, pitched above your talking voice.

Which Funtime Freddy clip to use

The top clip is the entertainer on a normal night and works for long, talky scenes. The next one adds a 90 Hz robot buzz at 30%: the showman short-circuiting, which suits the moment a scene turns hostile. The last stretches the reverb to 2.2 seconds at 30%, for calling out to someone hiding across the auditorium. Keep those lines short and loud, and leave a gap after each so the tail can be heard. If people ask you to repeat yourself, drop the Bit crusher mix below 40% before touching anything else; the wobble isn't what hides the words.

Free Funtime Freddy voice changer FAQ

Is this the official Funtime Freddy voice?

No. It's a sound-alike made with effects on your own voice and contains nothing recorded from Sister Location.

Can it do the hand-puppet voice too?

Not as loaded. Move Pitch and Tone up afterwards for a small, squeaky sidekick, then back down for the bear.

Does it work on Twitch?

Yes, if you go live from a browser streaming studio in Chrome, where Facecam Virtual Mic shows up as a microphone. Desktop streaming apps don't see it.

The wobble makes me sound seasick. Can I reduce it?

Lower the Chorus mix below 40%, or keep vowels short; the tremble only lands on sustained sounds.
