Free Webex voice changer

A voice changer for Webex meetings: join from your browser and choose Facecam Virtual Mic in the preview window. Free, no sign-up.

Real-Time Voice Changer: change your voice live

Your browser will ask for microphone access when you click.

Set it up in Webex

  1. 01

    Join from your browser

Open the invite in Chrome, select Join meeting, then Join from your browser. Enter your name and choose Join as a guest, or sign in.

  2. 02

Pick the mic in the preview window

Before you join, open Audio options, keep Computer audio and choose “Facecam Virtual Mic” as the microphone. Use Test to check Webex hears you.

  3. 03

    Let the effect through

Click the arrow by Audio options → Settings → Webex smart audio. Noise removal is the default; switch to Music mode, which Webex describes as letting others hear the original sound.

  4. 04

    Choose a voice and join

Pick a voice in the Facecam popup, then select Join meeting. You can change voices from the popup at any point without touching Webex.

Tested by Facecam team. Facecam extension 2.1.0 (test build) in Chromium 153.0.8010.12 on macOS 26.5.1 (Apple silicon), with Chromium's built-in test camera and microphone, not signed in to any app. We opened the Webex web app's sign-in page, not a meeting and checked from inside that page that its device list listed Facecam Virtual Mic and got sound from it. We didn't sign in or join a call there, so Webex's own menus in the steps come from Webex's help pages (see Sources).

If it doesn't work

ProblemFix
Facecam Virtual Mic isn't under Audio optionsReload the Webex tab with Facecam on. Webex also suggests checking chrome://settings/content/microphone and restarting the browser after adding a device.
The voice sounds thin or drops between wordsNoise removal is still selected under Webex smart audio. Switch to Music mode.
Webex only offers to open the desktop appOn the join page use Join from your browser; if the app is installed, the link reads Join from this browser, or pick Use web app from the dropdown next to Join meeting.

More about Webex

What the web app leaves out

Webex says its desktop app has more features than the web app, and its help pages don't describe changing the microphone once you're inside a web meeting. So set the mic in the preview window before joining; if you need to change it later, leave and rejoin.

Questions

Do I need a Webex account?

Not for Facecam. Webex lets you join from the browser as a guest, though a host can keep guests in the lobby.

Does it work on a Chromebook?

Webex opens meetings in the browser automatically on Chromebooks, and Facecam runs in Chrome there, so yes.

Can I use it on a phone call into Webex?

No. It only works with Computer audio in the web app, not when you dial in.
