Where it doesn't work
- Desktop apps: the Zoom, Teams, Discord and Webex apps, OBS, Streamlabs Desktop and Twitch Studio only list cameras and mics installed on the computer. Join in Chrome instead, or bring the feed into OBS as a browser source.
- Games and consoles: Roblox, Fortnite, VRChat, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch voice chat never pass through Chrome.
- Phones and tablets: mobile browsers can't run Chrome extensions.
- Phone calls and messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Telegram and Messenger.

Why does it only work in Chrome?
Facecam is a Chrome extension, not a driver. It adds its camera and mic to web pages, which keeps it off your system but means desktop apps can't see them.
My app isn't listed. Will it work?
If the app runs in a Chrome tab and asks for your camera or mic there, it almost certainly lists the Facecam devices too. Open it, start Facecam, and look in its camera or mic menu.
Do the other people on the call need Facecam?
No. Only you do. Everyone else sees and hears the result in whatever app they use.
